In 1954 Elzan Vincent put out a little newspaper called The Dry Flat News. It had interesting tidbits about what was going on in the neighborhood.
Pauline Barker Vincent attended Dry Flat School from 1918 - 1925. She then taught at that school in 1931-1932, and finally all of her children (Elzan, Dianne, and Jacob) attended Dry Flat from 1943 to its closing in 1956. This history is composed from research and pictures that she had done over the years. Pauline passed away in 2011. She was able to attend the 1st and 2nd Dry Flat Reunions in 1990 and 2010.
